What is the most organic CBD oil?
Introduction
Why is Organic CBD Better?
Organic CBD is better because it’s made from hemp (or cannabis) grown without pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Why does that even matter? Because those toxic pesticides and fertilizers make their way into the final CBD product, and then end up damaging your liver, and body.
Also, many pesticides (and GMO crops in which the plant itself produces pesticides) work such that they hamper the insects ability to reproduce, making them unable to have offspring. The problem is these pesticides also affect humans, and have a negative effect on our reproductive systems (and health in general).
Just look at the declining rates of testosterone, and the current infertility epidemic, and it’s easy to see why “growing organic” isn’t just a hipster fad – it’s a basic human right. We deserve the right to non-toxic food and supplements that improve our health, instead of diminishing it.
Artificial fertilizers provide just enough nourishment for it to produce a crop, and usually larger yields, however at the detriment of the efficacy / taste / quality of the actual crop. Soil is a complex and extensive ecosystem, and needs much more than just NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium) to thrive.
Organic fertilizers such as worm castings (fed off of organic food scraps) are infinitely much more nutritious, and contain vastly more beneficial organic compounds which help plants thrive.
I myself grew up in a household where we used standard chemical fertilizers… when I started growing my own plants, using only organic worm castings (fed with organic inputs, such as organic kelp meal, crab meal, basalt, etc.) and clean water, the plants needed neither pesticides nor any additional fertilizers (their natural immunity was strong enough) and produced fruit / crops that I constantly got compliments in the line of “wow! This is the tastiest / best [insert fruit name here] that I’ve ever tried!”.
In the long run, it’s easier and better to farm organically, and use nature to your advantage instead of fighting against it.
That’s why organic CBD is better.
Our Research
Searching and speaking to people knowledgeable about CBD and organic products, we were recommended some of the following brands:
One Farm seems to be the most transparent and careful in their practices. They were featured on Paul Chek’s podcast, and Paul Chek recommends them himself. Paul extensively tests products on himself, and is one of the most thorough and unbiased researchers I know, so I highly trust his opinion.
But let’s dive in anyways and check out One Farm, as well as some of the other options:
One Farm
- Have their own USDA Organic certified family farm, which specializes in growing organic hemp
- Their organic CBD oil contains only organic hemp extract, organic MCT fractionated coconut oil, and organic flavoring (optional)
- They have specific varieties just for pets, in case you want to use CBD for your dog or cat
- Grown in Colorado on a USDA Organic farm that is free of pesticides and toxins
